The Joinery & Ecofashion

The Ellis sisters are two very clever ladies who are paving the way for ecofashion in South Africa. I am not usually a fan of stereotypical “ecofashion” (read: ugly clothes made out of hemp), but poor practices in the fashion/garment industries are becoming more and more of an issue and ethical material sourcing and labor are making ecofashion an interesting topic. The Mail&Guardian released an article today discussing the direction of “Slow Fashion” (ecofashion) and highlighting the Ellis sisters and their ecofriendly label The Joinery.
